When the steering wheel becomes heavy or the steering is not responsive: check if the steering assist oil level is between the markings.
If the oil level is insufficient, add the appropriate type of assist oil to avoid system damage caused by oil errors.
When there is abnormal noise or looseness in the steering wheel: check the ball joint of the steering rod or the connection part of the steering column,
and tighten the loose screws;
If the abnormal noise comes from the wear of the internal lining, a new lining can be replaced directly without disassembling the entire steering gear.
When the steering gear leaks oil: locate the oil leakage point (commonly found in the oil pipe joint or sealing ring), temporarily replace the seal and supplement the auxiliary oil for emergency use, but timely professional maintenance is needed to prevent deterioration.
When the steering wheel has more on one side and less on the other (position deviation): conduct a systematic inspection, including confirming the wear of the steering rod and ball joint, and replacing damaged swing rubber;
After completion, the four-wheel alignment must be corrected to ensure that the toe in value is within 0 ± 0.3 degrees and the caster angle of the main pin is between 2.5-3.5 degrees.
When the steering wheel is severely worn or internally damaged: send it to a professional repair point for processing, such as turning and additive repairing worn parts (such as rocker arms), and re boring to ensure accuracy and avoid safety hazards.
When there is abnormal noise on bumpy roads: For specific vehicle models, clean the impurities and powder inside the steering gear and replace the non removable liner. When installing, pay attention to the direction of the liner and reserve a 0.2 centimeter gap to prevent it from falling off.
The above plan is only applicable to common scenarios.
If the steering wheel is stuck, there is a serious abnormal noise, or the fault light is on, the vehicle should be stopped immediately and professional help should be sought to ensure safety.
