Product Operate Guide
1. Disassemble the old shock absorber:
Lift and stabilize the vehicle, remove the wheels. Find the position of the shock absorber (usually on the inside of the wheel).
Be careful to remove the fixing parts that connect the upper end (tower top bolt, which may require operation inside the engine compartment) and lower end (installation bolt) of the shock absorber. Pay attention to the vehicle model that supports the spring, and use a dedicated spring compressor to safely remove the top nut to prevent the spring from popping out! After loosening, the old shock absorber assembly can be removed.
2. Assemble a new shock absorber (if required):
If the new shock absorber is not pre installed with springs, it is necessary to be extremely careful to compress the old spring (or new spring) using a special tool, and install it on the piston rod of the new shock absorber in the correct order and direction, along with all supporting components such as buffer blocks, dust covers, top rubber/bearings, etc. This is a high-risk step!
3. Install a new shock absorber:
Place the assembled new shock absorber assembly (or complete assembly) into the installation position, and first use your hands to attach all bolts (upper tower top bolt and lower installation bolt), ensuring that the position is correct and the bushing is not twisted.
Key step: After the vehicle has landed on all four wheels (or simulated load state), use a torque wrench to tighten all bolts step by step and cross according to the specified torque value (refer to the maintenance manual or product instructions).
